Everyone is good at public beacuse the players you meet are almost every time bots or very bad at the game.
You rarely play against good players in public. (Because the good ones do only private machtes xD)

You're right but it doesn't mean that he's a bad player per se, maybe he just need to learn the advanced techniques.
